New moisture meter installations

In May 2006 an IDC202 moisture meter was installed at the Ore preparation plant of Corus Group in Scunthorpe, UK, for moisture measurements of coal. The moisture meter was incorporated into the local computer net of the plant. With the assistance of plant workers under the supervision of Dr. Rafael Maldonado a 6-month study of influence of different types of coal on moisture readings was carried out. No any significant effects have been found.
Pictures below show the IDC202 moisture meter, which was installed on a conveyor belt at the Ore preparation plant, and a symbolic circuit of the information net of the plant with the moisture meter incorporated. The values of standard deviation were in the range 0.1 to 0.22 %.
